Description
Soap Creek Designs Black Walnuts from Boondoggle Farm in the hills of West Virginia ~ freshly harvested ~ meaning we just picked them up off the ground Waiting until they fell from the tree, we harvested these Black Walnuts before the squirrels ran off with them! From wild walnut trees, growing right here on the property, we filled a Priority Flat Rate box with Black Walnuts in their bright green hulls. There are approximately 85 to 90 walnuts in the box (I always lose count) and it weighs about 12 pounds. The deer and the squirrels love them, if you want to spread them around for food for the animals. Or now would be the time to plant them if you are hoping for some walnut trees of your own. The old timers around here say to just stomp them into the ground. Other folks suggest planting them about 6 inches deep. You could even remove the hulls, crack the shells and roast them for yourself. There were certainly no pesticides used on the trees. They’re too big! While you’re shopping check out my hand made stained glass and visit my store Soap Creek Designs! Of course we ship to APO / FPO!
