Unless I have indicated a shipping cost in my description, shipping charges will be determined at the end of the auction dependent on where the item is to be shipped and by what method.  I try to ship by the most economical rate, and the shipping charge is based on the weight of the package plus 1.50 S&H. Insurance is optional.  If you choose not to insure a valuable item, please keep in mind I have NO control over the Post Office's lack of concern for its condition or location!! If you have purchased insurance and there are any claims that need to be filed due to damage, (This rarely happens, as I do pack securely and with a high degree of paranoia) I will provide you with a copy of the insurance receipt and it will be your responsibility to follow up. Be sure to keep the package as intact as possible to show them that it was packed well. One last word on shipping; the cost of shipping has gone up but this is due to the increase in postal rates, over which I have no control. I will try to offer you a choice on shipping so you can choose between Priority (or First Class mail for packages weighing less than 13 oz.) which means a quicker delivery or Parcel Post, which is generally more economical but also means a slower delivery time or if applicable, Media Rate for printed or recorded materials which is very economical and also very slow.   If you have won more than one of my auctions, I will be happy to combine items to save on shipping expense and S&H is only added once. Auctions are a final sale, unless I have somehow misrepresented an item which will then be handled on an individual basis. BE SURE TO CHECK MY FEEDBACK - I'M VERY PROUD OF IT!!!
