Item--See Description See more about 'Edvin Ohrstrom Orrefors Girl and Dove Ariel Glass Vase' Description Edvin Ohrstrom Orrefors Girl and Dove Ariel Glass Vase (Click to Enlarge) This is a truly magnificent dark red glass vase cased in clear glass, entitled Girl and Dove ( Flickan och Duvan ), hand-blown for Orrefors by the noted Swedish artist, Edvin Ohrstrom (1906-1994). Underside is inscribed "ORREFORS ... Ariel nr 467-C ... Edvin Orhrstrom". Depicted in this piece are a woman with long flowing hair and a peace dove. Measures 7" x 4.5" x 4.5" and weighs 7.5 lbs. Believed to date from the 1970s. Excellent condition. There is a minor indentation very close to the base that measures approximately 1/2" across, and which is certainly a factory flaw which was deemed acceptable. (Please see our image below.)
