Since then, the Pool has provided added health benefits such as, cardiovascular therapy, increased pulmonary efficiency and increased fitness and mobility.   On occasion, the Pool has also been a great source of fun for my grandkids.  However, recently our travel schedule has significantly limited the Pool use.    The Nature of the Pool    The Pool is different from your traditional pool because it uses a unique patented design to produce a broad, deep, non-turbulent current.  The current allows its users to swim in place like a swimmer’s treadmill.  The current speed can be set to almost any user’s ability. At slow speeds its ideal for beginning or leisurely swimmers.  The Pool’s top speed is equivalent to swimming 100 yards in just over one minute, or a mile in 20 minutes.    The Pool has stainless steel benches that are along the inside walls.  The stainless steel benches act as return channels for the water and as a rest area.  Because the water returns through the benches, it does not disturb the current moving down the center of the pool.  The center of the Pool has a mirror to help users improve their form and perfect their swim strokes.  There is also a step on the bench to help you enter and exit the Pool.   The Pool is remarkably efficient.  The Pool uses about $10.00 of electricity a month to power the two electric motors (the circulating pump and the swim-current power unit).  The operational cost in maintaining the desired water temperature by means of a gas heater was not noticeable on our bill, but may vary on conditions and usage.  In addition, the security cover acts a floating thermal blanket containing heat and controlling humidity.   It really works well.  We have had no problem with chlorine odor as long is the cover is in place.     Installation   The Pool was installed in our basement and maintained in exceptional condition.  However, the Pool is free standing and can be installed indoors, outdoors, above ground, partially in-ground, or totally in-ground. The installation is very straight- forward and, except for the gas and electrical hook-ups, is capable of being installed by you and a handyman. To make thing even easier, I have all of the installation manuals from my original purchase, including a step-by-step guide. The Pool has been meticulously maintained and routinely checked.  I will provide the winning bidder with a comprehensive test kit and some conditioning chemicals to balance the water.  Once the water chemistry is balanced, maintenance takes only a few minutes each week.  I will also provide a brush, skimmer net, vacuum, and additional hoses that will make the maintenance minimal and easy.  Finally, as part of the scheduled maintenance, I installed a new current motor and propeller and they have less than 100 hours of use.  I still have the old set if you would like as a back up.     I have provided pictures of everything that is included in the sale of my Pool. However, the wood paneling along the outside wall of the pool is NOT included. I plan on using the wood paneling for my basement wall.
