Please send us an ebay message if there is something specific you are seeking, and we will attempt to acquire it for you.  The piece at auction you are currently viewing is:  "Celtic Song" stencilled Encalmo Bowl Artist: James NowakSigned: Nowak 08Size:   approx 21.5" widest diameter X  3" deep Shipping:  100.00 Western US, 110.00 Eastern US (insurance included)No chips, cracks, or damage evident,   Display stand not included in auction - but available to winning bidder. Nowak has been experimenting with these amazing computer generated design elements combined with his large Encalmo Bowls, and the results are truly spectacular.   Nowak first designs the pattern on computer.  When the design elements are completed, they are transferred and laser cut by a special printer onto a special transfer film.    At that point, the artist starts work in the hot shop, and creates one of his amazing blown Encalmo Bowls, where two gathers of colored glass are combined with a third gather of clear glass in between them.   By working of these elements in Nowak's amazing control, a large flat disc is formed with one color ending up as the central core, and the other as the rim, with a small perfect pinstripe of clear glass in between.   While Nowak was a bit mysterious about the actual transfer process, the pattern design stencils are then joined with the body of the piece, and it is reheated and fired to bond the pattern, sand etched and fire polished, and once again cooled.  The final step is to reheat the flat disc yet again and slump it into the shallow dish shape that is the pieces final form.   While those may be the technical steps of creating the piece, the final results more than transcends the sum of it's parts....and the result is clear to see in the photos ---though it is no understatement to say that the photos do not remotely do justice to the piece, and it's presence in person is nothing short of breathtaking, so much more than can be conveyed in online digital images.   The yolk yellow background tone of the main part of the piece is set off by a central russet toned design, which in turn sets off the red border design of this piece. True red is a very tough color for a glass artist to work with, and Nowak does so masterfully, integrating the designs and colorations together into a magnificent large and striking work of glass art.   Each of the few experimental Celtic Song bowls Nowak produced is unique, both in coloration and the applied design pattern, it is truly unique, and this particular example is even more unusual given its colorations and wonderful shaping.   Due to recent large increases in our cost for the lucite display stands, we must now charge an additional $48.00 (our wholesale)  if the buyer would like a stand shipped with the piece. PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE EBAY "ME" PAGE (link above) BEFORE YOU BID. All of our Sales Policies are listed there. There is also a link to further information about the Artist.
