L Hjorth Danish Pottery Vase with handpainted Squirrels Start Price USD 395.00 Current Price USD 395.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Saturday, November 22, 2008 End Time Saturday, November 29, 2008 Location Frisco,TX See more about 'L Hjorth Danish Pottery Vase with handpainted Squirrels' Description A LARGE, RARE and BEAUTIFL L Hjorth Danish hand painted Art Pottery vase with what appears to be a pair of squirrels sitting on branches.  The design goes completely around the vase which is 8 1/2" tall.  It's marked on the bottom with the stag/deer figure which is typical of this maker, "Bornholm" and the number 46 which is either the design number or vase shape number.  I believe this vase to be circa the 1930's or 1940's.  These vases have a great SMOOTH FEEL to them.  The animal designs seem to be less common than those with fruit and flora designs and this specific design seems to be MUCH SCARCER.  No Chips, No Cracks and No Repairs.  See my other auctions for a couple more vases with different animal designs.  Shipping charges to be determined based on package size, weight and mail carrier chosen from those offered below.
