LOETZ ART GLASS PHANOMEN GRE. 8058 SILVER OVERLAY VASE Start Price USD 2,400.00 Current Price USD 2,400.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, September 29, 2008 End Time Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Location Flying Hills See more about 'LOETZ ART GLASS PHANOMEN GRE. 8058 SILVER OVERLAY VASE' Description   Here is a Wonderful Loetz Art Glass Silver Overlay Vase.  This vase has it all, great form, fantastic overlay and a great decoration.  The decoration is Phanomen genre 8058 on a creta ground.  The silver overlay is top notch, art nouveau floral and covers the piece all over!  It measures just shy of 9" Tall.  The form is interesting, bulbous towards the base, slightly tapering towards the top, with a pulled down mushroom form top.  The underside has a polished pontil and the silver overlay is marked sterling silver deposit.  There are a couple of minor issues with this vase.  There is a piece of overlay missing towards the bottom.  I photo'd this area, and pointed to the area towards the bottom where a small tip of silver comes up.  It looks like there was a band that should have connected towards the floral section above, but i cannot find where it should have connected.  The other issue is at the top of the vase and is in the glass.  There is a dark strand in the glass that comes to the edge.  At the area where it comes to the edge, the glass dimples out slightly and there is a rough area.  This was definately done during the making.  Even with these two minor setbacks this is a spectacular piece of loetz art glass.  Winner to pay actual shipping plus 2.00 for handling.
