On a cream colored ground, it has sprays of multi-color wildflowers and leaves around the interior; a fluted border with raised grape clusters and looped vines encircle it. The 'reticulated' border and the handles at either end are molded to look like branches from which molded leaves, done in a burgundy/gold luster, spring. Magnificent articulation; porcelain 'dings' beautifully when tapped. See photos... Dimensions: 11 3/8" wide, handle to handle; about 1 1/2 to 13/4" deep Markings: stamped in green on the back: "Royal Saxe" "E.S." with a crown, "Germany" Condition: Excellent. No breaks, chips, crazing or discoloration. Minor colored paint loss; there appears to be some gold loss, but I can't tell what's been worn over all these years as opposed to what was intentional when it was made. See photos...
