Large Owens Utopian Art Pottery Vase Start Price USD 29.99 Current Price USD 135.83 Time Left - Bid Count 14 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, November 17, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Greenwood, IN See more about 'Large Owens Utopian Art Pottery Vase ' Description Very attractive large Owens Utopian vase made around 1900.  This classic shaped vase is over 11 inches tall, over 4 inches wide, and the base is 3 ½ inches.  The background colors range from dark brown blended to a light tan.  The design is of a stylized rose.  The design, particularly the flower, is heavily textured compared to most art pottery from that era.  It is signed by the artist, WD, for Walter Denny.  The bottom does not have the Owens stamp, but is marked shape number 1118.  I have seen other vases of this size and shape with the number 1118 that do have the Owens Utopian stamp, so there is no question about the maker.  The vase is in excellent condition with no crazing.  There is a very small nick in the outer glaze, about the size of two pinheads, on the top rim, to the left side of the flower.   Please email questions before you place your bid.  Buyer to pay shipping costs which are calculated at end of auction based on zip code.  Insurance is buyer’s responsibility.
