Shipping | Policies MONUMENTAL ROYAL DUX "MASQUERADE" FIGURAL GROUP C.1920 Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album Click to View Image Album "MASQUERADE"   This stunning work of art by the renowned Royal Dux Factory portrays a couple dressed in elegant 17th century attire dancing at a masquerade. The exceptional detail in both figures along with the delightful blend of colors gives this piece great character! The flowing form and mat pastel colors with bronze and gold highlights suggest it was produced in the late Art Nouveau era. The modeller was probably Alois Hampel, who worked with the factory at the turn of the century until 1922. Due to Hampel's superb craftsmanship the Royal Dux Company gained international recognition and success in the early 20th century, winning several medals at world exhibitions. Considering the design and the marks on the base, including the early raised pink triangular mark having an "E" within an acorn, we believe it was produced between 1918 and 1922. This wonderful piece is in EXCELLENT CONDITION , surviving almost a century without being damaged! There are no chips, cracks or repairs. It measures 19-1/2" H x 13" w and weighs a substantial 12 + lbs.
