Expertly potted with one of the most skillfully pulled handle that I've seen. We bought this piece along with 9 others from a lifelong collector in Robbins N.C. We have just purchased a book on N.C. pottery but have not found anything about this company. Pot is in wonderful condition with only one small spot on the base, looks like the thick glaze just popped off. The spot is hardly noticable but my wife said to list it. I pictured it so the bidders could see, no damage to the clay at all just a glaze flake if you will. Pot is a eyecatching, I guess you would call it, robins egg blue. But more interesting if you look closely it looks as if the glaze contained small crystal like substances. I don't know what one would call it but truely eyecatching in person. Please supersize the pics to see what I'm talking about. I'm sure this was either A.R. or J.B. Cole, not certain but would go out on a limb and attribute it to one or the other.
