The inside is deep deep buttery yellow with fern type leaves all around the interior and the outside is rich deep to paler cranberry decorated with blossoms and gilt leaves. Minor wear to the outside decoration as expected from age. The pontil has a manufacturing rough broken pontil pictured but does not devalue. This is a museum quality bowl with the contrast of the two colors like none I have ever seen in all my years collecting brides bowls. The intensity of the colors cannot be rivaled! The holder is a meriden marked and quad plate numbered authentic same time period and perfect fit. It has old patina but no plate loss.
