jersstep Store RARE & SIGNED BEAUTIFUL MONTIERES FRENCH 5" POTTERY VASEIN GORGEOUS SHADES OF METALIC IRIDESCENT VOILETS - LATE 19TH CENTURY DESCRIPTION: Being offered up for sale is this very rare, gorgeous as well as beautiful, signed Montieres 5" Massier vase. Montieres workshop opened in 1917,created by Jean Barol and Marius Alexandre both coming from the Massier's in Golfe Juan. The condition is near mint with just some minor crazing. The colors are fantastic with multi-shades of metallic iridescent violets, it depends how the light hits this marvelous and such a sweet vase. I am not sure how to describe the motif. It is very abstract and could be a flower. But it mostly reminds me of a firework exploding. This fabulous vase dates to C 1890s putting this in the Art Nouveau period. I need to add that due to the light of the flash from the camera, the pictures show this vase at its very best which show how beautifully it would appear with its own spot light shinning on it. It is signed at the bottom edge under one of the handles as seen in the pictures. If you are into high quality European or art pottery this is a must have as it will really be an asset. With the gorgeous colors and design of this antique vase, it will not only go with any home or office décor, it will stand out and surely be a conversation piece! This great piece is very detailed as you can see in the pictures the bird feathers as well as the cap and ball double barrel shotguns trigger and trigger guard. Please check out the pictures to see for your self just how rare, beautiful, interesting, this exceptional French pottery vase really is. While viewing the photos, please keep in mind its fantastic almost mint condition and its Art Nouveau motif of this great amphora shaped antique vase from ca 1890s. This is a very appealing and desirable piece! As a suggestion, this would be a nice treat for your self or perhaps a marvelous gift for someone special.GENERAL: Please check out my store; Jerry's Antique Attic for some highest quality, hard to find, and other unique antique/collectable items!
