The interior of the ceramic part is marked with hand written blue D 550. This is Longwy circa 1880 (1875-1890). The lamp is 21" tall. The ceramic part is about 4" tall and 7" wide.. Excellent condition. This item was originally made as an oil lamp. The oil lamp was then converted to an electric lamp in the early 20th Century. This is a rare Longwy lamp, and about as early as you will ever find. I have attached lots of pictures so you can see for yourself. The item in the pictures is the item you are bidding on.
