It carries the early square blue stamp mark, circa 1910. The painting is very special: the Turtles are drawn very carefully with a very fine line to their details, and this plate has the added feature of an extra band of blue toward the interior, near the cavetto (center of the plate). That extra, bold blue band of décor is rarely found on any but the very early examples. The painting is an attractive medium dark cobalt blue and the crackling is bold and mostly finely spaced.
