WOW!' Description This is a beautiful 9" signed Minton majolica oyster plate in the rare cobalt blue background color. The center well is turquoise and the smaller shells and seaweed are tan, green, brown, lavender and yellow. The plate is impressed on the back with the straight line Minton mark, an English registry mark and another mark that is a circle with an X inside which denotes the 1872 date when it was made. These marks are not that clear in my photo so you have to look closely. Best of all it is in MINT condition with no chips, hairlines, repairs, scratches, wear, stains or bubbles guaranteed. I've never seen a better one!
