RARE PENNSYLVANIA REDWARE INDIAN INTEREST VASE 19TH C.    We are delighted to offer this very unusual and rare redware vase which we believe originates from Pennsylvania decorated with Native Indian influenced designs. The bulbous shaped vase stands on a rounded foot with a slightly recessed base and has a short simple funnel neck and rounded opening. The vase is applied with stylised eagles to two sides of the body with three plant like symbols of naive style in between ... possibly ears of corn??? The vase has been decorated in an all over brown manganese splash design on an orange glazed ground similar in style to examples by Henry Swope. The vase is not marked but is a very unusual and interesting example and a stunning display piece ... a very rare find for the serious collector!Date  Believed 19th CenturyMaker/OriginAttributed to Pennsylvania ... although typically not marked                   Dimensions                  Height 20,5cm • Diameter 14cm     Condition The vase is offered in excellent original condition without restoration.
