It is called the "RETRIEVER" bread plate. This plate is a classic of early milk glass, and is pictured in many books. This is EXTREMELY RARE in this PASTEL PINK. Excellent condition, no chips or flakes, no dings, etc.-- but does have a minor repair to one handle, a very slight grind job, I have shown two pics of it. This is a pretty minor repair and I really do think it detracts little from this piece, since it has no other damage or flaws.This plate measures 9-3/4” wide and 13-1/2” long. This is a very hard to find bread plate, and an example of a color that is rare to find in ANY piece of early pattern glass, much less such a classic piece as this figural plate!
