DAKOTA' Description BEAUTIFUL ROSEMEADE POTTERY ARTS & CRAFTS NILOAK-STYLE MISSION SWIRL PATTERN CUP/TUMBLER/VASE - EXCELLENT CONDITION This seven day auction is for a rare Rosemeade Pottery (North Dakota School of Mines) Mission Swirl pattern (4.5" Height; 2 3/4" Rim Diameter; 2" Base Diameter) tumbler or vase in beautiful ecrus, blues and mauves. It has a matte exterior finish and a clear-glazed interior. This is a finely wheel-turned pot with a perfectly finished rolled lip and a base with a concave indentation 3/4" high that forms a foot. It does have the blue ink Rosemeade backstamp. If this swirl pattern seems reminescent of Niloak, it is, because the maker is Howard Lewis, Rosemeade's production manager and a former Niloak employee and potter. This lovely bowl is in excellent vintage condition, just like it came from the factory, including one teensy glaze pop (see pic).
