The crisp carving of this 1906 vase shows a pattern of flowers and leaves similar to Design #95 in Newton’s “Catalogue of Van Briggle Designs,” however, has the design number “372” impressed on its bottom side indicating a different pattern of leaves only. The carving of this vase is crisp and clean. The overall glaze color is a beautiful apple green with the flowers over sprayed with a darker green color. The vase is approximately 6.4” tall and approximately 3.8” at its widest diameter. The bottom is marked with the Van Briggle logo, a faint inscription showing the name “VAN BRIGGLE,” a deeply impressed design number “372,” and an inscribed date of “1906.” The vase is in exceptional condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
