The mottled turquoise color glaze with a light blue overspray on the flower bud has been applied over a light clay which shows through - emphasizing the design of stylized leaves and flowers. The heavy glaze on the bottom obscures the markings, however, they clearly indicate the Van Briggle “logo”, the date “1906”, the design number “302”, and a “circle” symbol. There are no chips, cracks or repairs to this rare vase.
