It is made of a creamy colored softpaste with a colorful Chinoiserie design handpainted on top, all around, the bottom and inside as well. Silver mounts that are held on by little screws are marked with the silversmith marks. They are hard to make out since they are tiny. There seems to be a mark of a fleur de lis with the letters JCC underneath and another mark that is a rabbit but it is hard to see well. The box is in great condition but the lid part has a crack straight across. Still a rare example and looks superb. A bit of wear to the design on the bottom from years of moving around. Unmarked except the silver marks which is the norm. The box is 1.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches in diameter. A very nice piece that would make a great addition to any collection.
