This very scarce piece of mocha ware is a mug decorated with a dot pattern. The pattern is made up of 360 dots that were cut away and filled in with two colors. It has an applied handle that was applied to the piece after the dot design was finished. It is the early thin walled mocha, not to be confused with the later thicker walled pieces. It dates from the late 18th early 19th Century and measures 3 + 3/8 inches tall by 2 + 5/8 inches across without the handle. It is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
