William Morris is considered to be one of the most gifted and innovated glass artists, his sculptures are part of the permanent collections of many museums, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the American Craft Museum, the Louvre, and the Victoria and Albert Museum. This "stone" is a beautiful piece of Morris' early work. It resembles a large river rock washed for years in a river bed. This piece is app. 18 in long, 12 in at its widest, and 4 in high. This is the first piece we are offering at auction. We have two other original pieces to be offered later. I have added some close ups to show the detail of the work in this piece.
